Choir Concert Learning Journey 7 June 2013

In the evening of 7 June 2013, 18 primary 5 pupils went to the School of the Arts (SOTA) Concert Hall to watch an amazing concert presented by the Singapore Symphony Children's Choir: Rhythm and Rhyme. The young talents presented 12 magical songs. We had an enchanting musical buffet of songs of different languages and genres. This was indeed a fulfilling trip for the children. We are certainly looking forward to more of such learning journeys in the future.

Let's share our Learning Journey Reflection online!
1) What was the most enjoyable thing about this learning journey for you?
2) What are some of the learning points when you watched the Singapore Symphony Children's Choir perform at the concert?
3) What would you tell your other fellow choir friends who did not have a chance to come for this concert learning journey?
I'm looking forward to your sharing online.

Regards
Mrs Tong

  1. 1)The most enjoyable thing about this learning journey was that I got to see how the Singapore Symphony Children's Choir work and sing together to make us thing high of them.
2)I have learnt that without teamwork, we would not accomplish anything.
3)I will tell my fellow choir friends that in order to make other people look proud of our gold choir, we have to work together , show teamwork in our singing and persevere to the end without giving up.

  2. 1) I think the most enjoyable thing about this Learning Journey was listening to the beutiful songs that were sung. Especially Humerous Duet For Two Cats. It was beautiful how the "meow" of a cat can be made into a song!
    2) Some learning points would be how full, tall and united their voices were as they sang the songs. They seemed to be really enjoying the songs and were swaying to the music.
    3) I would tell them that it was a great concert and the Singapore Symphony Children's Choir sang a beutiful array of songs. From nursery rhymes to songs by Bob Chilcott.
    A simply superb concert!

  6. 1)The most enjoyable thing about the learning journey was listening to the beautiful songs sung by the choir.
2)Something that I learned was how they had teamwork and they did not shout when they sing. Even when there were only 2 choir members singing, I could hear them very clearly.
3)I would tell my fellow choir members that it was a wonderful concert and in order to stand up to our gold achievement during the SYF, we must sing together as one and not shout.
