Welcome Back! 1st Announcement for the year 2016!

Dear Parents, Guardians, boys and girls,

hope that all of you had a wonderful holiday and are ready to embark onto the new year!

For the year 2016, there are a few changes made in Choir.

For Choir this year, we would like to introduce to you our new Choir teacher-in-charge, Mr Kee Loi Seng.

Assisting him will be 2 other teachers: Mrs Tong, who was away last year and Miss Wen Caizhuang.

On the first day of school (4 Jan, Mon),  our choir members will receive a consent form for the activities that will be taking place in Week 1 and 2.

Our pupils will need to stay back in school the next day, Tue, 5 Jan, 1.45pm - 3.45pm.

Our pupils will be having a new choir uniform. Arrangement has been made for tailors to come and take pupils’ measurement on 5 Jan, Tuesday (the next day).

Do make appropriate transportation arrangements for that day.

Our pupils will also be taking part in the SYF 2016 competition which will take place in April 2016 (after which P6 members will stand down from CCA).

Hence, in order to prepare our pupils for this competition, there will be at least 2 choir practice sessions per week.

For Term 1, our Choir practices will take place:
Every Monday, 3.30pm – 5.30pm
(There are no school bus services. Please make other transportation arrangement)

Every Tue, 1.45pm – 3.45pm

A list of dates for our other practices will be issued out later.

We look forward to see you next year!

Sing50 on 7 Aug

The teachers in Endeavour are very blessed to have very supportive parents for allowing their children to participate in this once in a lifetime event. I believe Edp choir pupils have had an enriching and great exposure during the event. It was very memorable and the pupils were very resilient to having gone through the tough times at the National Stadium and able to stay awake till very late at night on those two days. Well done, Edp Choir!

Pics of SICF competition + Award Ceremony

Dear Parents / Guardians,

I'm happy and pleased to announce that our EDP Choir has won the 'Silver Award' for the SICF competition!

I would to express my thanks to all parents who have been very supportive for this competition, despite the pre-competition event that took place at Sentosa on a Saturday that ended at about 9pm.

Our pupils have worked hard during their Choir practices, together with their  Choir instructor, Ms Lee and Ms Teo.

I would also like to express my thanks to Myashara's parents for allowing Myashara to represent our Choir to receive the Silver Award at the Closing Ceremony, at Esplanade.

Here are some photos taken during our pre-competition event @ Sentosa, behind-the-stage on the actual day of competition as well as the Closing Ceremony.

Sing 50 Complimentary tickets and extra tickets

Each performer will be given 2 complimentary tickets to the concert (organiser has not stated when they will be giving out the tickets).

For those who wish to purchase additional tickets they can do so at this website: http://bit.ly/charityticketdrive

The tickets are subject to availability and is on a first come first serve basis so hurry!!!

However do note that the tickets purchased will not be seated together with the complimentary tickets given as the tickets are released at different blocks.

I understand that most parents are concerned about the timing especially for 6 and 7 August as pupils will reach school very late. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and not all pupils can participate in this Sing50. We do hope for parents' support and please help to take care of your child/ ward well-being prior to this big and important event.

Also, the 10 songs are also available on the sing50 concert website for the performers to listen and sing along.

10 Songs Re-Uploaded for Sing50 Performance

Dear Parents/Guardian, boys and girls,

As mentioned during Choir practice today, 21/7, I will be re-uploading all the 10 songs for the Sing50 Performance.

Please ignore the previous versions of the 10 songs as there is a technical problem in the songs.

For the Finale, the version that is uploaded has only the melody. Please listen to it and familiarize yourself with the melody first.

**Important Note:
Please focus on the Girl's Voice part only.

Our 1st rehearsal will be this Sat, 25/7 at Tanglin Trust School. (Please refer to letter given out today,21/7)

We were just informed by the Sing50 organiser that there is no need for pupils to memorise all the 10 songs.
They are allowed to bring their music songsheets along with them during the performance.

As a standardisation for all the participating schools ( about 1000 pupils' choir), the pupils will need to use a black pocket file to store their songsheets, 1 pocket for 1 page for easy flipping.

Pupils will be required to have their black file ready on the actual day of the performance, 7 Aug, Friday.

Below are the 10 songs for the Sing50 Performance.

1. Happy Birthday Medley

2. Singapore Cowboy

3. Within You'll Remain

4. Glasshouse

5. Beserah

6. Cheng Li

7. Return

8. Singai Nadu

9. Ru Yan

10. Tanya Medley (or My Colour TV Set)

11. Finale
